First, a brief look at the picture of Turkey today, on this issue, in 4 sentences
In Turkey, any sort of critics against President Erdogan -not only artistic- are defined as a crime and oppressed.
Musicians -especially Kurdish ones and who support Kurdish people, you know Ferhat Tunç very well, actors, painters, cartoonists… who ever wants to raise their voices against the oneman- regime, meets the police, prosecutors and judges.
Speaking on artistic freedom, unfortunately, artists are still unorganized.
Form time to time, some protests arise in some point, but cannot turn out to be an organized resistance.
Such an attempt came from musicians with a declaration to support Bosporus University students and teachers who faced police brutality just because they opposed the new rector, appointed by Erdogan, directly. But it also seems to be forgotten soon, as an exception.

Probably we can make not a happy, but hopeful end
